I am Chris Woods, MSN, APRN, FNP-C. I read the text myself. Some cases need in-person dental care. If that is you, I will say so. You do not pay for that honesty.
What a text visit can do
If you are in a licensed state, I can review the pain, swelling, fever, and what you have already tried. When it is clinically appropriate, a short-term plan and a pharmacy order can go to your pharmacy. $59 cash. See the dental pain page for the visit itself.
Licensed states: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, and Utah. If you are not in one of those states when you text, I cannot treat you.
What it cannot replace
A dentist still needs to see many teeth. Drainage that needs a procedure. A broken tooth that needs to be opened. Something that has to come out. I cannot drill, pull, or x-ray by text. If you need that door, go there.
When to skip the text and go in
Trouble breathing. Swelling that is closing an eye or spreading down the neck. High fever and you look sick. Uncontrolled bleeding. Chest pain. Call 911 for emergency symptoms. Do not text through those.
What $59 covers
The visit is $59. No app. No portal. You text (480) 639-4722. If I can treat you by text, you pay $59. A prescription is not promised. Pharmacy cost is separate if one is sent.
