Decide if this is 911 or a room
Call 911 or go to an ER for chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, severe bleeding, a belly that is rigid, or a child who looks truly sick.
Go to an urgent-care room (not a text) if you need a film, stitches, a wound looked at, a possible break, or a hands-on exam. HonorHealth Phoenix urgent cares post 7 a.m.-7 p.m. daily. Several Banner Phoenix pages post 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily. Dignity Ahwatukee posts 8 a.m.-7 p.m. daily. NextCare's Thomas Road door posts 8 a.m.-midnight daily - the late brick option if you still need a building. MinuteClinic hours are shorter and include a lunch close.
Phoenix Children's urgent cares (Glendale, Scottsdale, Mesa) post weekday evenings 5 p.m.-11 p.m. and weekends 10 a.m.-7 p.m., schedule-ahead. That is for children, not a text practice.

Check whether the story is text-safe
Good candidates: uncomplicated UTI, a sinus pattern that might need a closer look, strep or ear without red flags, dental pain as a bridge to a dentist, ED when appropriate.
Bad candidates: fever with flank pain, pregnancy plus urinary symptoms that have not been evaluated in person, vomiting so you cannot take a pill, spreading face or neck swelling, a child under 2, anything that needs a room.
