Charlotte waiting rooms, $59 text visit

You are in Charlotte or nearby. Urgent care may already be closed. Atrium and Novant are the usual next clicks if this is more than a simple UTI. A $59 text visit with a licensed NP is the other option, when it is safe.

You do not want the waiting room. That is the whole problem.

Burning. Urgency. You have been to the bathroom four times in an hour. You know it is a UTI. You also know what a Charlotte waiting room looks like on a weeknight.

Atrium and Novant are the right doors if you have fever and flank pain, you are pregnant, you cannot keep fluids down, this is a child, or there is significant blood. That is in-person care. It is the wrong door for a straightforward UTI you have had before, if you do not want to sit there.

Here is the other path: text (480) 639-4722. Tell Chris (a real nurse practitioner, FNP-C, not a chatbot) what is going on. He will ask a few questions. If it is a straightforward UTI and it is safe by text, he can send a prescription to a Charlotte pharmacy the same day. A prescription is not promised. You only pay if he can treat you. $59 is the whole visit.

You must be physically in North Carolina or another licensed state at the time of the visit.

Text (480) 639-4722. Say it burns when you pee, you cannot stop going, and you are in Charlotte. That is enough. No app.

Answer a few questions

Chris Woods, a nurse practitioner licensed in North Carolina, texts back. When it started, if you have had UTIs before, fever, flank pain, pregnancy, whether you can keep fluids down. He is not guessing a drug from one symptom.

3

Pharmacy same day, when it is safe

If antibiotics are the right call, they go electronically to a Charlotte pharmacy you name: Publix, Walgreens, or wherever you actually pick up. If text is not safe, he will send you to Atrium or Novant. You do not pay for that honesty.

The visit is $59. You only pay if he can treat you. A prescription is not promised.

UTI in Charlotte: here is the honest split.

This is not a hunt for a closed urgent care. This is ER vs urgent care vs text.

ER (Atrium / Novant) Urgent care NPCWoods
Cost Often hundreds Often $100 to $250 $59 flat
Wait Hours, if you need that door If they are open Reply from your couch
When it is the right door Fever and flank pain, pregnant, cannot keep fluids, child, significant blood When you want in-person and they are open Straightforward UTI, when text is safe
Weekend / after hours? Yes Sometimes Yes, by text

Chris Woods is a real nurse practitioner, licensed in North Carolina, FNP-C, not a chatbot. He reads the text himself. Atrium and Novant are the go-in doors when text is not safe. This page is for the access gap: you know it is a UTI and you do not want the waiting room. See how a visit works and the FAQ.

Is this safe by text?

I am a nurse practitioner, not a salesman. If something more serious is going on, I want you in an ER, not texting me.

Text NPCWoods if:

It burns when you pee, you are going constantly, maybe some pressure in your lower belly. Classic, uncomplicated, you have probably had one before. You are in Charlotte or nearby North Carolina. No fever with flank pain. This is bread-and-butter telehealth stuff when it is safe.

Go to the ER if:

  • Fever over 101°F AND pain in your back or side (flank). That is kidney territory
  • Significant blood in your urine (not just a little pink)
  • You cannot keep fluids down. (You cannot take oral antibiotics if you are throwing up.)
  • You are pregnant or think you might be
  • This is a child with urinary symptoms

Atrium Health or Novant Presbyterian, whichever you can reach. Do not text through kidney, pregnancy, or dehydration problems.
